The Grade 5 students in our Give Back Club have been 100% responsible for choosing the type of product to create along with the design all the way to the sales and marketing of their product. They have had complete ownership of this project and it has made us so proud to see what they have come up with and the symbolism/meaning behind their designs.
100% of the profits from the sales of our Give Back Club collection will be going towards building our school in River Number 2, Sierra Leone.
Beyond the fact that these kids have created unique and modern apparel themselves, they have also been involved in planning and organizing marketing events such as PopUp shops, Runs and Relays to market and promote their product and raise awareness for Ruben’s Shoes. Their efforts and initiatives have been truly remarkable.

GIVE BACK CLUB COLLECTION
Coyote Creek Elementary, Peace Dragon Tee:
The students created a T-Shirt with a dragon design that represents many things but mostly it represents peace, love and understanding. The Dragon is breathing hearts which represent love and if you look closely you can see that there is a smiley face inside of its mouth showing that it is friendly and symbolizes peace. The students wanted to represent understanding because typically dragons are thought of as scary but this is a friendly dragon so it demonstrates that it is important not to judge a book by its cover.
Aspenwood Elementary, Diamond Snapback Hat:
The students created the hat with a unique design that represents Unity.
The 7 diamonds represent the 7 continents of the world uniting as 1 and coming together to make a difference. They also came up with their slogan, "Buy a hat, make a difference"
Centro Educativo Toribio, Bird Canvas Tote:
We created a workshop at our school in the Dominican Republic and all of our students in our Give Back Club had a hand in helping to create this design. The workshop included RUBEN who was on site to also help with the design and creation of this bag. The chosen design was a drawing created by one of our students in the Dominican Republic, Yokasta. The dove represents peace and symbolizes the harmony and love shown by people around the globe.
