The Read for Ruben Challenge!

What: Read for Ruben
When: July 18th - August 6th
Where: Anywhere you can read. So really... anywhere!
Why: To enjoy some new books over the summer and to raise money for Ruben’s Shoes Society!

Get sponsored to read 15 minutes a day (or more!) for 20 days.
Maybe your Grandma will sponsor you $3 a day. Maybe your aunt will sponsor you a dollar a day. Maybe your neighbour will sponsor you 50 cents a day. Just like that you’ve raised $90 for Ruben’s Shoes Society just for reading 15 minutes a day!
Make sure you share your progress on social media using the hashtag #ReadforRuben and tag @RubensShoes so we can repost and celebrate your accomplishments.

It’s so easy! Download our pledge page below, start fundraising and then get your favourite books ready for July 18th.

ruben's shoes
We believe that all children deserve access to education. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and that every child deserves the right to create a better opportunity for themselves, their families, and their communities.
We are currently providing funding for the operations of Centro Educativo Toribio an elementary school in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic which has been ranked by the Ministry of Education as the #1 school in the country! And we recently completed the construction of our high school where our students can continue their education.
For $50 CAD/month, you can sponsor a child's education. The funds are used to pay for our teachers, our director, along with the overall operations of the school and anything required to support the health and development of your sponsor student.
