The government has postponed the opening of schools in Puerto Plata because it is such a tourist destination. They want to monitor the behaviour of the Coronavirus after Easter and then decide possible dates for the semi in-person learning to start. We will keep you posted as we learn new information. 💙

Our kids are heading back to school! We are so happy to report that semi in-person learning is starting back up in the Dominican Republic on April 6th. The teachers have been vaccinated and the kids have their new uniforms. We’re not sure who’s more excited to head back to school: our students or our teachers.
It’s been over a year since our students have been in a classroom. It has been a long year of remote learning for everyone. We are so proud of how our teachers and students adapted to online learning but we are so excited for this bit of normalcy for our kids.
